Hachiko: A Dog's Story [2009]

Most people (except me) have probably watched the original movie in 1987 Hachiko Monogatari. Now, Hollywood has made a remake of it starring Richard Gere. It's still 'coming soon' on my country and I don't know the precise release date, so I watched the trailer on Youtube.

No offence, Hollywood usually makes crappy remakes, some of them managed to pull through, but most just lack emotional depth from the original movie, or if it's a horror movie, it lacks... well, fear. Very fortunately, I don't think that is the case with this one. I CRIED.

Not because it sucked on so many different level, it's because the story was so touching, so tragic, so sincere... I copied this plot summary from IMDb:

An American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work. Sadly his master departs one day, passes away and never returns to the station. Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot at the station the very next day, and every day for the next nine years to wait for his beloved master. During his daily visits, Hachiko touches the lives of many who work near and commute through the town square. He teaches the local people love, compassion and above all unyielding loyalty. Today, a bronze statue of Hachiko sits in his waiting spot outside the Shibuya station in Japan as a permanent reminder of his devotion and love.

I rarely cried on a movie, well I'm not really sure what could push my buttons, I cried during Titanic, Click, The Bucket List, The Lake House. But I didn't cry on Seven Pounds, My Girl, City of Angels. And I never, I repeat, never.. cried at a trailer. And the fact that it is a true story made it even more of a tearjerker, I'm definitely going to see this movie !!! I'll bring the whole family, so they can all cry with me. Will 10 roles of tissue be enough ?

Yes, I cried at a trailer.
What am I going to do at the movie ?
Rolling on the floor laughing ?

      Ah The Naivety...

      You Are A Relationship Rescuer!

You don't ruin relationships, if anything you keep them together

The key: you respect yourself and your guy. Which goes further than you might think.

You simply treat your guy how you would like to be treated... the old golden rule.

And in return, he treats you like gold - or at least tries. And how perfect is that

I am Accused of Plagiarism ?

So here's the sitch, my anonymous English (grammar) teacher gave me an assignment; 300+ word discussion text.
Like any diligent student, i gave my all...
I managed to hand it over one week earlier !
And what did i get ?? VILIFICATION !
My smartass teacher rejected my assignment* thinking that i had copied it from the internet !WHAT ! I typed that thing till 3 A.M and you won't accept it ?? But i didn't gave up easily, I demand a reason...

Teacher: I'm sorry this is just too perfect for a highschool student. (Thanks for the compliment though)
Me       : But, Sir. I did wrote it by myself.
Teacher: No, this is not your words. I know. I can tell the difference.
Me       : Is this because of all the complicated terms ? Because I did search for them in the dictionary. But there's nothing wrong with that. Those are really my own words.
Teacher: Your words is like the word of a native, even a professor still sounds Indonesian when they write.
      Me       : I'm not lying.
Teacher: How should I convince you ? There's no mistake in your discussion text. The grammar is perfect. If I have to score this, I'd give you 1000% (O_O')

Long story short, i agreed to write ANOTHER TEXT** in order to prove that i really can write with no grammatical errors. I did it within 2 days. When I hand it in, it turns out I made a couple mistakes (clumsy me !) So he didn't believed me (MORE) ! Grrrraaawrr... I became so frustrated, I tear up my paper and threw it into the rubbish bin DX. I'm not asking for your compliments you know, teacher. I know I'm not that perfect yet, so sometimes I make mistakes, but when I finally did it right, WHY WON'T YOU BELIEVE ME ? Does being a student means that you always have mistakes, that you can't be "perfect". And you being a teacher, that makes you a flawless ? Ughh... Since I'm so PO'd I wrote ANOTHER TEXT*** ! I gave it to him a few days ago... I didn't say anything and so did he. Good.
