Hachiko: A Dog's Story [2009]
| at 4:03:00 PM
Most people (except me) have probably watched the original movie in 1987 Hachiko Monogatari. Now, Hollywood has made a remake of it starring Richard Gere. It's still 'coming soon' on my country and I don't know the precise release date, so I watched the trailer on Youtube. An American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work. Sadly his master departs one day, passes away and never returns to the station. Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot at the station the very next day, and every day for the next nine years to wait for his beloved master. During his daily visits, Hachiko touches the lives of many who work near and commute through the town square. He teaches the local people love, compassion and above all unyielding loyalty. Today, a bronze statue of Hachiko sits in his waiting spot outside the Shibuya station in Japan as a permanent reminder of his devotion and love.
What am I going to do at the movie ?

You Are A Relationship Rescuer!

You don't ruin relationships, if anything you keep them together
The key: you respect yourself and your guy. Which goes further than you might think.
You simply treat your guy how you would like to be treated... the old golden rule.
And in return, he treats you like gold - or at least tries. And how perfect is that

Doctor: I'm afraid it is.
Dude: Am I gonna die?

Today, I heard a pretty interesting story on the radio. The speaker was Bong Chandra, the said to be youngest motivator on Asia at the age of twenty-something. Maybe some people have already known this motivational story before, it is about a professor and a fisherman. There might be a few minor changes.
One day, a professor was doing some research in the forest. But he came across a river, and the only way to cross that river was with a boat. Apparently, that was his lucky day (up till this point anyway). A fisherman was passing by and so the professor asked the fisherman if he could get a lift, the fisherman agrees.
In the boat, the professor picks up a leaf that's floating in the river.
"Sir, do you what Biology is ?", asked the professor.
"Biology ? Is that some type of fish food ?", replied the fisherman.
"What ? No ! Are you telling me that you don't know Biology ? Well, Sir. You have lost 20% of your life !", the professor just shook his head.
As the journey continues, the professor spotted some dirt on the water.
"Sir, how about Geography, do you what it is ?", asked the professor
"Ah, I know that one !"
"You do ?"
"Well it's definitely not fish food."
"Goodness gracious, if you do not know about Geography as well, then you have lost 50% of your life."
This time the professor notice the air and sunlight.
"Okay, I'll ask you one more time, have you ever heard of Physics ?"
"Sir, I didn't finish my school, how could I know anything ?"
"Well, I'm sorry to tell you that you have lost 80% of your life !", the professor was perplexed, how could the fisherman not know something this important.
As they were conversing, the river was flowing rapidly, then soon enough it turned into a storm. The professor was frightened whereas the fisherman remained calm. But the boat rocked real hard, the professor was thrown into the river. Unfortunately, he could not swim.
"Heeerrlpp !!! Grreelp !! Eeeelpfff...." the professor was drowning slowly.
"SWIM ! Can you swim ?" ask the fisherman.
"Noo.. I can't !!
"Well, Sir. It looks like you have just lost 100% of your life !"
And so, the professor was nowhere to be seen, his hands no longer waved for help, the boat of the fisherman was getting farther.
END
I think this has just slapped me on the cheek. Hard.
